Hindusthan Educational & Charitable Trust (HECT) believes in making education affordable to the under priviliged students. So the students from the weaker sections of society are given educational scholarships, fee concessions, free seats are given to students from backward areas with excellent academic records. Students can also avail Government Scholarships if applicable.
Students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are eligible to apply for the award of the scholarship
Students belonging to Backward / Most Backward Classes can apply for the award of the scholarship, if the annual income of their parents does not exceed Rs.50,000/-
The students who have secured 50% and above in aggregate in the higher secondary Examination or equivalent examination may apply for National Loan Scholarship. First preference will be given only to those who have secured 60% and above. A minimum number of forms are sent by the Director of Collegiate Education every year, to the college.
The students who belong to Adi-Dravidar converts are eligible for this scholarship. The annual income of their parents should not exceed Rs.50,920/-
Prescribed forms of application can be had from the Director of Social Welfare, 486, Anna salai, Nandanam, Chennai – 600035, on requisition with self-addressed stamped envelope.
The students who are the children or grand children of freedom fighters, whose monthly income does not exceed Rs.560/- can apply for this scholarship.
Children of Defence Service Persons can apply for full fee concession.
Children of Ex-Servicemen can contact the District Soldiers & Sailors and Airmen Board Office for supply of application form.
The Scheduled Caste students who are staying in the hostel can apply for the award of Harijan and Tribal Welfare Loan Scholarships.
